What the test measures
The Character map describes how you show up in five big areas of life: emotions, relationships, getting things done, energy and openness to new things. Each trait gets a score from 1 to 10 and an explanation of what it means in everyday life.
The test also shows your stability — how hard it is to throw you off balance — and impulsivity: whether you act on your first impulse or weigh everything up. At the end, a few quick choices reveal which life values matter most to you.
How to take it
- Read each statement and mark how much it is like you, from “not like me at all” to “very much like me”.
- Do not think too long. Your first answer is usually the most accurate.
- Answer as things are, not as you would like them to be. There are no right answers.
- At the end, pick what matters most and least to you in six sets.
What it is based on
The Big Five is the personality model psychologists have tested for more than forty years on hundreds of thousands of people in many countries. It predicts how people behave in life, at work and in relationships better than other typologies.
The questions, scales and report texts were developed for Soulmeter. The test has built-in checks that notice random answers and attempts to answer “the right way” — the report warns you if that happens.
Norms are preliminary for now: we refine them using anonymous average scores that cannot be linked to anyone.
Why the Character map is different
- No boxes. You get a profile, not a “type”: how strong each trait is.
- Plain language. The report speaks to you directly and explains what to do with each trait, not just names it.
- Free and complete. The full report opens right away, with no sign-up or payment.
- Private. We do not ask for your email or phone and do not store answers.
